How to add a signature to a cert

What are the steps for adding a signature to certs? I have admin but not sure how to go about doing it. Thanks for the help.

Hi Gene,

That is the correct start, but there is a little bit more setup involved in order to start signing your calibrations. In GAGEtrak, electronic signatures are tied to the Security Module and the person’s Custodian record, so the setup does not happen directly from the certificate screen.

Here is what you will need to do:

  1. Open the GAGEtrak Security Module and make sure security is enabled.
  2. Create or confirm the GAGEtrak login for each person who will be signing calibrations.
  3. In GAGEtrak, go to Settings > List Management and set up the Calibration Signature Level(s) you need—for example, Calibrator, Reviewer, or Approver.
  4. Open each person’s Custodian record and assign the appropriate signature level.
  5. Open the completed calibration record, go to the Signature tab, and have the authorized user sign at the required level.

Once the calibration is signed, GAGEtrak creates the electronic signature record and locks the calibration from further changes. You can then include the signature information when you generate the calibration certificate.

It is easy to miss because the signature setup is handled through the Custodian record, not from the certificate itself. Let us know if you get stuck on one of the steps.

Hello Johnathan,
