Is there a way to change the gage label format on Gagetrak Lite?

Currently GT shows it as 9/24/2026, but I need it to read “Sep 24, 2026” or “Sept 24, 2026” as it is written our process specs. Also eliminates any chance of error when it is written as 04/03/2026 and shipped to other countries where they write the date different than what we do in the US.

Need something that will allow it written as:

Also, is there a way to make a label for a gage location?

Something that might look like this:

We actually get this question more often than you might think! You should be able to do this just by changing the date format in Windows. GAGEtrak Lite uses your Windows regional date settings when it displays the date on the label.

If you change the Windows date format to use the abbreviated month name, you can have it display as **Sep 24, 2026** instead of **9/24/2026**.

I agree with your reasoning here. Using the month name takes the guesswork out of dates like 04/03/2026 when the label is being viewed in another country.

Some days our insisting to be different causes more grief and frustration than it’s worth by not only using Freedom units, but also apparently Freedom formats (I should probably trademark that)

This is a nice idea, especially if you ship to countries that use a different date format.

If I may add. I find this format to be the best format for writing dates “YYYY-MM-DD”

For example, 2026-09-07. I believe no country will read it as July 9, 2026. All countries will read this as Sept 7, 2026. Please correct me if I am wrong.

I also use this format in renaming filenames of calibration certificates. It is much faster to organize in your PC and faster to identify which certificates are old or new.

I also use that format in a lot of cases because when they are put in order, it is so much easier to look at the most recent, just by going by the year first.
